The Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix was held on September 26, 2010, at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Marina Bay, Singapore. At the time, the only racetrack to hold a night race on the F1 calendar. Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso won the 61-lap race from pole position. Sebastian Vettel finished second for Red Bull and his teammate Mark Webber was third. Alonso resisted Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel, while Heikki Kovalainen leapt from his burning Lotus T127, borrowed a fire extinguisher and put the fire out himself.
