Description

At the end of 2008, BAR-Honda pulled out of F1 and sold the team to then-team principal Ross Brawn. The mastermind behind Schumi's seven titles, Brawn bought the team and won the championship in 2009 as Brawn GP with Jenson Button and a car that saw no development throughout that season.

Knowing that 2010 would not produce the same success, Brawn sought investors throughout 2009 and managed to attract the buying powers of Daimler, Mercedes-Benz's parent company. Merc bought the team in 2009 for 2010 onward, but had one crucial condition: one of the drivers had to be of German descent. Brawn approached Schumacher, Schumacher said yes, and would drive for the new Mercedes team from 2010 to 2012.

It was a big shock to F1 and its fans, but definitely a prospect everyone was looking forward to.

This authentic light-smoke visor is presented in its original team-issued, unused condition. The spare visor was not used on track, however it was hand-signed by the 7-time World Champion on the visor itself in black marker. A 2-stack tear-off is install atop the signature for protection.
