Description

The Ferrari 248 F1 was used in the 2006 Formula 1 World Championship. The car was named after its V8 engine: where 24 is the capacity in deciliters, and 8 the number of cylinders. The name broke the F200x system used from 2001 to 2005 and returned to a system similar to that used in the 1950's and 1960's. Drivers Michael Schumacher (#5) and Felipe Massa (#6) took the team to second place in the Constructor's Championship, scoring 9 wins, 19 podiums and 7 pole positions during the 19-race season.
