Description

Kimi Raikkonen is renowned for not saying much out of the car, but behind the wheel his plain-spoken (occasionally a little too plain-spoken) radio messages have become the stuff of legend.

The exchange that launched a thousand internet memes. On course for his first win in over three years, the Iceman kindly informs his engineer that he has everything under control at Yas Marina during the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Among other things, he answered the instructions given by race engineer Simon Rennie "Leave me alone, I know what to do" (known as the answer: "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing") and acknowledged the reminder to warm up the tires with "Yes, yes, yes, yes, you don't have to remind me every second". Kimi drove the rest of the length in piece to a spectacular victory. After the competition, 500 T-shirts with the text "Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing" were ordered in Räikkönen's name.

This pair of race gloves is a genuine OMP product, official team-issued replicas (not fireproof). Those were gifted by Team Lotus directly to high-ranking VIP guests during the race. This set comes complete with the accompanying Lotus F1 Team VIP Sunday Pass (Paddock Club).

The right glove is hand-signed by Grosjean and the left by Raikkonen, both in black Marker.
